I hope that things are going well in your lives! I’m currently working through an internship at Lake Ann Camp in northern Michigan learning about leadership and how ministry is a catalyst in life change. We have been able to learn through experience during the internship by helping work with guest groups, assisting with planning and executing retreats, and learning about our own strengths and weaknesses. During the internship the other interns and myself have the opportunity to travel to India this December to help run a camp of around 500 campers in Churachandpur, India and serve God overseas. I’m sending you this letter to give you the opportunity to be a part of this ministry if you are willing and there are two specific ways that I would ask you to join me. The first and foremost is in praying for me and the rest of the team as we serve God and the camp we are going to be working for. The second way you can be a part of this ministry is through financial support as I need to raise $3000 for this trip.
We will be leaving for India on November 30th and staying through December 9th. The leadership in India has invited us to teach them, and help design an intentional camp experience that will have a lasting impact, and we will be helping run a camp for high school aged students. We’ll be flying into Delhi, India and then to Churachandpur after arriving to begin our work. In order to be fully supported on this trip I need to raise $3000 for the flight and various expenses. The distance from camp to Churachandpur is around 7,600 miles so $40 would get me 100 miles closer to my goal of being in India! I know that God is faithful and I’m asking for your support to help me serve with a camp that I love in a place that needs the light of Christ.
I am extremely excited for this opportunity to serve at the camp in India because it will provide me with a new perspective on how camp ministries are effectively run in a different culture, and I will have the opportunity to help mold the camp there to be most effective it can be. I would be extremely blessed to have you join on this journey with me as I travel and learn to serve God in a new and exciting way.
